Like coffee? Then go to Theorem in Costa Mesa.

For my birthday, I made myself a reservation for this fancy wine coffee tasting session since I would be up late tonight due to tonight’s Cinefamily midnight movie. Theorem only allows 6 guests at a time, all by reservation. However, since I was the only one to show up, the barista was able to chat me up on the culture of coffee drinking and elaborate on the process.

There were a lot of fancy gadgets and processes involved, like weighing porcelain cups on a digital scale, straining things through paper funnels, and glass beakers.

It was a lot of fun, and if you coffee nerd who appreciates a good black cup of coffee, I highly recommend making the field trip down to orange county for it.

Also, I’ll be caffeinated for the next 4 days.
