Thoughts on Stoker. 

• “… wait, this doesn’t take place in the 60s?!”
• “Mia, I’m going to need you to channel Darlene from Roseanne.”
• “Sociopaths have amazing hypersensitive superhero hearing.”

I appreciate that this movie was beautifully shot with careful thought given to the sound design (especially the deviled egg scene)… but there were holes in the plot that left me wondering things like “what kind of childhood did she have to cause her to become such a complete off-the-rails sociopath? Why is she dressed like Wednesday Addams? Who keeps their freezer so deep in the bowels of the house?” I need more context.

So if anyone does see this film, we need to have a chat because there are parts of this film that make no sense.
