If you love someone, tell them. Don’t leave them wondering. ever. If you have problems verbally expressing how you feel, show them. Even if gestures can’t all be grand or delbert shoopman-esque in nature, go for those small everyday acts of thoughtfulness–that random compliment, late night taco bell delivery, or random bottle of yellow gatorade–The point is to consistently convey you care and to make them smile.

Even more important, when they do that gesture, take note, say thank you, and mean it. I’ve made plenty of mistakes and I’ll always wholeheartedly and unconditionally love that person … but some things aren’t meant to be and it breaks my heart more than I’ll ever care to admit in real life.
