The Maxfuncon folk asked me if I wanted to teach a crash course on photography. 

I thought it might be fun to help people understand their expensive cameras. If I can help people understand white balance and aperture, then I will have made a difference in this world.

Also they’re bringing Kenneth Lecky along to help shoot the weekend, so there’s less of a danger of finding me passed out from exhaustion on a camp trail! YAY!
