Paley Festival | Curb Your Enthusiasm | 03.14.10

“I’ve taken improv classes, and I hated the idea of memorizing lines…”
– Larry David on his lack of script or planned out dialogue on Curb.

“You can’t do improvisation with an asshole.”
– Bob Einstein on the dynamic of the cast and their ability to successfully work out a scene without a worked out script.

This panel was a lot of fun, if only for Bob Einstein/Super Dave/Marty Funkhouser’s sheer exhaustion and utter distaste for being on the panel and all the horrible things Larry puts his character through on the show. Also, listening to Richard Lewis and Larry David bicker on stage was like watching an episode live.

All and all probably the most fun I’ve had watching a panel discussion at a Paley festival.
