Nobody Needs to Know
from The Last 5 Years

Hey guys, I like musicals, and apparently one of my favorites I’ve never seen (the other is Lippa’s The Wild Party) is being made into a movie, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, which should be interesting if they can pull it off.

The musical is told from different timelines and perspectives of Jamie and Cathy. The beginning of which Cathy laments their divorce, while Jamie revels in their first date and meeting the woman of his dreams. The story crosses in the middle at their wedding, then progresses backwards to Cathy giddy about their date and forwards with Jamie, moving out and closing their bank account. 

Here is the awfully sad song before the closing number, in which Jamie justifies/solidifies being unfaithful.
