Some random take aways from last night’s reading/discussion (which was mostly dominated by High Fidelity questions…)

- Current ongoing project is a collaboration with Ben Folds, to be released Spring 2010. Process: Hornby writes the lyrics, and Ben emails him back the lyrics with music.

- He proclaims An Education to be his best film yet. (We’ll see…)

- Top 5 bands include Springsteen, Dylan, Marvin Gaye… and 2 others I can’t remember. As much as Hornby is asked this question, he still seemed pained to answer this. Not out of annoyance of the question, but in that he still finds it difficult to decide.

- Sees no point in twitter. People should practice more long form writing.
