La Street Food Festival | 02.13.10
Despite the insanely long lines… EVERYWHERE, I had a great time. Kudos to Heather for suggesting the presale VIP tickets, which got us into the lounge, indoor bathrooms, free freshly fried donuts, dim sum, and alcohol… also avoiding the 1hr+ long wait in line for general admission.
The weather was absolutely perfect, and the avoidance of long lines forced us to try the underdog vendors.
My hands down favorite of the day was the Lemon Meringue from Gastrobus. It’s a hallowed out lemon filled with lemon custard and strawberries, topped with a toasted yet fluffy meringue.
