Finally… I switched from AAA Insurance to State Farm and saved myself $50. It may not be much but now I have not only my car insured but renters, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, PERSONAL ARTICLE INSURANCE.

For $68 a year, it covers up to $5000 in equipment (camera/laptop/prosthetic limb).  With that Tumblr post floating around about the guy who got well over $10,000 in camera equipment stolen, it’s probably a good fucking idea to get your shit insured just in case you get mugged (by the above gentleman, what google defines as a burglar) or you accidentally leave your camera in my hands never to be seen again.

Caveat: you must have renters insurance to get the personal article insurance policy. again, still worth it.
