CPR & First Aid Training | 06.19.10
Some key takeaways from today’s training, many of which are born from frivolous lawsuits and only apply to California ….
- Accepting a tip from a patron for wheelchair service is now a misdemeanor.
- A felony offense if you’re a medical official.
- 1 out of 3 people have a blood born pathogen.
- 48% of women will die of a heart attack.
- from 1980 - 1996, there was only one(!!!) reported case of an adolescent (12-22 years old) dying from a heart attack. In the past 2 years, there have been over 500+ deaths (largely attributed to increased consumption of energy drinks and ADHD.. oh and being grossly unhealthy).
- It’s better to be injured in Orange County because Los Angeles EMTs will only have about 8 drugs on board their ambulance compared to OC’s 63, thanks to frivolous lawsuits.
- Even with the administration of CPR, they only have a 1% chance of survival.
Main takeaway of the day.
We’re all doomed.
