Christmas in April. Went to a white elephant party where everyone ordered a $10 item from the Something Store and brought it unopened to party. Then the winner of one round of blackout bingo gets to steal whatever gift they choose.

Bragged about gifts on the Something Store Website:  Ipod Touch, Silk Ties, Gorilla Pod, digital camera accessories kit, watches, digital cameras…. you know, stuff you’d actually want.

Actual sampling of gifts received. Patriotic lighter (x2), Computer headphones, digital camera accessories kit, animal nail trimmer, ladies hair remover (x3), workbench protective googles, and sunglasses. All generic gifts. The ladies hair remover still had the pricetag “Bed Bath & Beyond $9.99” on it.

All and all, it was a fun little experiment. Everyone was legitimately excited to see what each person got, even if they were all pretty crappy gifts.
